I want to take a moment to address some concerns that have recently been shared regarding student lunches and nutrition expectations at school. It is important that our entire school community has accurate information and feels confident in the supports we provide.
First and foremost, every child's well-being is our priority. Our school follows the district's Wellness Policy, which outlines guidelines for nutrition, snacks, beverages, and overall student wellness.
To ensure clarity and transparency, I am sharing our Wellness Policy below:

If a student brings their lunch, it should be a nutritious lunch (no soda, candy, energy drinks, protein powder etc). Parents/Guardians sending sack lunches should provide a healthy, well-rounded meal. Should school personnel deem your child’s lunch to be lacking in nutrition, they may offer your child a school lunch tray. If this is noted as being a repeated concern, the school nurse may contact you to create a plan of action on how to best move forward in meeting your child’s dietary needs.
