NOTES TO PASS ALONG:
Please return the pink bus slip tomorrow. A pink slip is your child's permanent transportation preference. Extra yellow slips are being sent home if you need to make changes to your normal method and we always have extra in the office.
Lunch tomorrow will be cheese quesadillas.
Please remember to have your child wear non skid shoes to school. We are having issues with markings on the gym floor.
Lastly, Wear your PJs and bring your money for the Salem vs. Centralia Money Wars. All funds raised will be donated to the Shriners. After the first day Centralia edged out Salem!

Shriner Spirit Week hosted by the Raccoon Booster Club kicks off this week with crazy hat and crazy hair day tomorrow! Penny wars are all week. See the flyer for more information! Join in the fun as we raise money for the Shriners ahead of the Centralia vs. Salem Shrine football game Friday night at Salem.
Cross Country practice will begin on Monday, August 23rd right after school from 3-4pm for 3rd-8th grade boys and girls. Please make sure your child has a current sports physical on file with the school. I will take sports physical until August 27th, for those who do not have one. All students entering Kindergarten, 2nd grade, or 6th grade will need to have one or more of the following exams:
Dental Exam - Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 6th grade
Vision Exam - Kindergarten
Physical Exam - Kindergarten and 6th grade
Out of state students will need all of the above.
Also, when entering the building you will notice the signs indicating asbestos removal. This process will begin on Friday. It is safe to enter the cafeteria doors.

Reminder.. Baseball tryouts are today (July 19) and tomorrow(July 20) from 3:30-5:30.
There will be softball practice on Tuesday, July 20 from 5:30-7:30 at Raccoon School.
Reminder.....softball tryouts are today (July 14) and tomorrow (July 15) from 5-7pm. Please make sure your daughters sports physical is up to date.
Reminder: The sports award presentation will be tomorrow at 6 pm in the gym. Immediately following the presentation will be a booster meeting. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. The Booster Club needs your help to support your child and our school!
Baseball tryouts will still be on July 19 & 20, however the time will be 3:30-5:30 instead of 6-8.
There will be a sports awards presentation in the gym on Tuesday, July 13th at 6 p.m.
As of right now the health department has stated there are no restrictions for any gatherings in the state of Illinois. Unvaccinated people should wear a mask. The honor system will apply.

Reminder for baseball camp Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8pm. Athletes will need to bring their own drinks, it will hot. And if they have their own baseball equipment, bring it also . Coach will have a few extra helmets , bats and gloves.
